Today I'm breaking off of my normal topic and talking about Stephen King. Mr. Gacek told us to go off of our topic and talk about an author we respect and admire so here's mine! I've read a few of Stephen King's books and they are wonderfully written. Carrie and IT are great and you should read them. I know that he is having his books be made into movies, to name a few, IT, Pet Sematary, The Shining, and Carrie. 

Stephen King was born on September 21st, 1947. His books have sold over 350 MILLION copies. Stephen King has published 58 novels, 200 short stories, and and six non fiction books. Seven of his novels were under the pen name Richard Bachman. He sold his first short story, The Glass Floor, to Startling Mystery Stories in 1967. when he was 20 years old. In 1973 he published Carrie, his fourth novel, with Doubleday. With the money that he makes Stephen King donates four million dollars to charity ever year. His popular nickname, which he deserves, is The King of Horror.
